When its all said and done there’s probably very little that differentiates you from your competitors. Your premises look pretty much the same. Your products and services are pretty much the same.

Yes, that’s really what the bottom line is all about when it comes to this marketing game. If you and your team deliver way beyond a prospect’s expectations you’ll always win. To do that, make your prospects say “WOW!” And that’s easy. You see it’s the little touches that count. For example:
- The pharmacy where the team thanks people for coming into the pharmacy by giving them a packet of jellybeans and a “thank you” card.
- The veterinary clinic that sends a handwritten letter to people who have had their dog put down.
- The accountants who ring their clients from time to time and ask, “How’s things”.
- The manufacturer whose team members always check and ask “Was the delivery today complete in every respect?”
- The caravan park that drops a thank you note to recent guests… with a voucher for a return visit.
- The restaurant that phones and asks diners “Did you enjoy your wedding anniversary dinner?”
- The car dealer who always sends a note to say, “Thank you” to people who visit but don’t buy.
- The dentist who not only phones his patients the day after their visit but again after 3 months just to check that “everything is okay.”
So many ways to make people say “WOW!” Simply by using your imagination so that you and your people create little incidents of amazement. Extra special things that can be done prospects do business with you. Simple, unexpected common courtesies that make people say “WOW!”
