When you’re looking for a job everyone wants a resume. The problem is that, if you remove the name from a bunch of resumes, they all look pretty much the same. The question is how do you make yours different i.e. stand out from the pack so that you get slotted in for an interview?

If I were writing a résumé, I’d ask “What are they looking for?” then I’d ask myself “How can I demonstrate my success and competence in those areas in my resume to cause a little trickle of dribble to run down their chins? Or at least have them busting to want to meet me?”

It’s all about personal marketing which most aren’t good at doing because unfortunately we’ve always been told not to show off! The famous Jeremy letter is worth having a look at to get an idea of how to set you apart from the rest of the bunch. Request it here.
