So what do you suggest that happy customers or clients say in a testimonial?
Well, think about it. What are people looking for when they are trying to find the right person to do business with? The answer is the good old-fashioned qualities they’ve always looked for… honesty, trust, integrity, simplicity, punctuality, doing a great job and so on.
So the testimonials that work gangbusters have comments like “He delivered on the promises he made”, “She kept her word”, “They made everything all so simple”, “He took me through it step-by-step”, “They made sure I knew what was going on”, “She made it so easy”, “The job looked sensational”, “The was never any thing I ever had to complain about” and so on.
A good approach is to get them to tell their experience with you in a story along these lines:
- This was the problem I had.
- This is how they solved it.
- This was the result.
