When you watch a TV commercial, or even someone’s effort on YouTube, all may not be as it seems.
The things you see are not always real. With the use of green screen technology we can drop in all sorts of things to make the finished production really look good. Of course, no matter how much you embellish your offerings you always have to deliver on your promise.
To demonstrate, here are some scenes from the film “The Great Gatsby”. If you’ve seen it this will gobsmack you; if you haven’t seen the film you should.
Chris Godfrey was the Video Effects supervisor on the movie and here you can check out some of his creative work after many of the scenes were shot in front of a green or blue screen.
If you have ever said ‘how did they do that’, this will show you how it’s done.
Enjoy!
