I’m indebted to the team at Business Insider whose newsletter I get regularly, for alerting me to the brand new Samsung Galaxy Gear Smart Watch. This is one right out of the box and delivers on the promise of the phones built into a watch (a la Dick Tracy) we saw in movies and TV shows over the years. The two TV commercials Samsung has produced to run in the breaks of American football programs reminds us of the watches we used to dream about, and tells us that they have now arrived.
