Because people are getting sick of tons of email landing in their inboxes, a great idea to promote your business is to send them a postcard. Whilst this idea won’t suit all businesses, lots of businesspeople find this means of getting attention very useful.
You’ve got a choice. The advertising message can be the picture or graphic itself or your “selling” message can be on the address side of the card. If you are smart, you can make it both! However you use it, the postcard presents a great opportunity to get your message to your market.
Postcards can work like magic. There are lots of printers around who will print postcards up for you quite inexpensively and it’s amazing how a “messenger with a stamp on” can break through the junk mail barrier!
Remember that the tried and true AIDA formula applies. If your postcard doesn’t get attention, stimulate interest, create desire and make people take action it’s not gunna work for you!
Finally, don’t rush out and order 20,00 cards. Just test and measure the results of mailing, say, a couple of thousand. If it gets results then wind up the numbers.
