In this digital age everyone has a camera and their pictures of you, for better or worse, get posted everywhere on the all pervasive social media.
So, what does it mean?
Quite simply, always be conscious that that picture of you may turn up where you wished it hadn’t … like where clients or the boss may see it.
It doesn’t mean that you go to endless lengths to avoid having your picture taken but rather always be conscious that it might be taken and posted in lots of places. So try and be ready and look your best.
For example, I was proud of the award bestowed on me at my fitness group recently but why oh why in this picture didn’t I grab the darned party hat off my head as my photo was being taken? It’s not a photo I’d want in the local paper or at my web site either!
However, some might say once a goose, always a goose!
Very much aware of this issue Winston, I enjoy using social media (Facebook) immensely however when taking photo’s of people (not that often) I always ask permission from them if I can place it on Facebook, As for me I am not very photogenic but then again I can always laugh at myself, Keep the great articles coming!
