I hate wrting about poor service so maybe we can put a a more positive perspective on this story from my Miracle Worker, Felicity!

“There was a cafe at the venue we were at today, and it was hopeless. Not a single menu list anywhere, so no idea what was available apart from the food visible in the fridge section. And they did have hot food!

It also meant no visible prices, either.

Really bad for a cafe in a large venue where you just walk up to buy food.

My daughter, Miranda, said “Mum, you have to email Winston about this so he can put it in a blog where we cam learn from it.”

So what can we learn from this:

1. If no one seems to care customers won’t care… or buy.

2. If they don’t know what you’ve got, point 1 applies.

Get Winston’s great audio series on “The “how’s things?” call” for just $8 here
The “how’s things?” call is one of those techniques every businessperson should use.
It works beautifully for anybody who is serious about making their business successful.
In fact, if you’re not using it you should be.

3. What the heck does this say about the venue and will patrons be anxious to go back.

4. Who else will Felicity and Miranda tell about this place?

5. And the list goes on…. would you care to add some more learning points?
