And I use the word ‘nice’ in its purest form meaning pleasing or agreeable because it’s great to see a business taking time out from its profit making activities to recognise someone who has made a difference. In this case it’s a business named “The Good Store” whose email marketing missives I love because they know how to write interesting and alluring copy.

Here they take time to recognise someone who made a difference in their world… they didn’t have to do it but they did and it is interesting. Enjoy!

My point here is that when you are building and maintaining relationships with your client base you don’t always have to be selling or talking about your products and services. Just occasionally it’s great to have broader horizons and share something that you, and therefore your database, find of interest. (Oh and by the way, you could criticise me and say that they were selling anyway coz they had some of the designer’s products but, from my perspective, they were incidental to the story.)
