I’ve always believed you only advertise to get the attention of people who don’t know you, what you do and what you’ve got for them. If they already know you then you ought to have better ways to reach them with info they need to know, with using your data base being the best way.
That’s why this advert seems to make very little sense… at least to me as a casual reader of the newspaper in which it appeared!
Now, I must confess it did appear in a Kiwi newspaper during the visit of a group of chaps known as the British Lions and I think they were meeting the All Blacks to play what the Kiwis say is the game they play in heaven!
Be that as it may, what the heck is the advert all about?
Don’t you reckon the time, money and energy wasted on it could have been put to better use? Like putting some new customers through the doors and generating some very profitable sales.
Remember, measure the success of your advertisements by the prospects they generate and the sales that result!
Anything else is a waste! Oh, and as an aside, humour rarely works.
