Keep them in hot water!

So, what do you know about hot water systems? Very little I guess. What you should know is that when they go bust, they go bust.

What I mean is quite simply that, when the hot water heater thingo goes, it goes. It means one minute you’re under a lovely hot shower and the next minute you’re shivering under a cold one… a chilling thought!

Then you’ve gotta go through all problems of getting a replacement water heater which you obviously need fast. Otherwise you’ll be going without showers for ages (and that’s not to mention how the rest of the family will carry on!).

So you’ve gotta go and google hot water replacements and then phone a plumber to ask when they can come and replace the heater. All of that is a pain in the backside and something you don’t want to do if you’re still stupidly standing there in your towel (it’s not really that urgent so towel down and get dressed).

Hopefully, the plumber arrives pretty quickly and installs the new hot water heater and charges you an exorbitant fee which you happily pay because you don’t want any more cold showers.

As I’ve said, it’s a real pain and here’s what one plumber has done to make it easy. Every time he installs a new heater he knows it will last about 8 to 10 years and then go kaput again.

So, have a look at your products and services that have some sort of finite life and may need upgrading or replacement after a while. Then find a way to provide the information, advice or help when and where they need it (or maybe even before they need it!).

You can take the pain out of such events and make it easy for your customers the next time they need help.
