It’s always great to see a bit of smart thinking by a trader and there was a fantastic example of that yesterday when the jolly old fella in the red suit arrived at our nearby shopping centre.
Santa ho ho hoed his way around the shopping centre in his sleigh surrounded by a retinue of musicians, pixies, a fairy queen and so on. Naturally he was trailed by an excited bevy of wide eyed kids who, in turn, were trailed by their parents.
And the whole shooting match naturally attracted more kids and more parents on its journey.

And only one smart operator recognised it… Derek, our local Muffin Break operator. He grabbed that opportunity with both hands.
He had one of his team join in the parade and give away cookies to all the kids. Each cookie was in a paper bag with a voucher for a coffee at just 2 bucks.
Get the kids in and the parents will follow!

I don’t know how many of those coffee vouchers will be redeemed over the next couple of weeks but who cares? Lots more people will know about Muffin Break.
