Well, this Sunday (Monday our time) it’s all happening in Atlanta where the LIII Super Bowl takes place. It’s a footy match (well, what the Americans call football) but it’s more known, at least to people like me, as a chance for big companies to blow millions of bucks on the best prime time TV advertising spots of the year.
Between them, they’ll produce one or two good commercials and lots of crappy ones. Behind the scenes Atlanta is the home town of Coca Cole but Pepsi is the Super Bowl sponsor and it makes for interesting shenanigans. Find out all about it here: Pepsi’s Out-of-Home Advertising Takes Over Atlanta for Super Bowl.

Don’t miss clicking on the links in this paragraph from the article… While Atlanta is a Coke town, there’s no denying Pepsi is painting the town blue due to its Super Bowl sponsor status. Pepsi took it a step further this week by placing a statue of its founder next to a statue of Coca-Cola’s founder in front of World of Coca-Cola for a cheeky marketing stunt. (Love that!)
P.S. Have absolutely no idea why the Bowls are numbered in Roman numerals! A bit of affectation.
P.P.S. Despite my diet regime I’m gunna have a hot dog and mustard and follow some of the game.
