Remember I said to you I was going to mail out regular thank you notes? That’s starting about now, but what delayed it is that I was waiting for my own postage stamp.
Yes, that’s right! A postage stamp with my head on it!
You see, if you pay the appropriate amount to Australia Post, you can have a postage stamp with your photograph or a photograph of your dog, your missus (not necessarily in that order), or I guess anything else you desire.
So I decided my thank you notes would have a stamp with my semi-ugly countenance to get a bit of attention. Unfortunately I ordered them before I knew the postage rate was going up, so they have to have an extra 10c stamp, but I guess that doesn’t do any harm. You can see the postage stamp on the right.
By the way, I’m not boasting, because I don’t think my photograph will excite any recipient, but it may help grab their attention.
