Someone sent me this Heineken commercial claiming it was their best commercial. It must have cost a heap of bullion although, even in a declining beer market, breweries can still afford to splash the cash. I reckon it’s a colossal waste of money and wouldn’t convince me to try Heineken or make me even more loyal. But then I’m not a beer drinker. Now give me a great commercial for a good wine and I’d love it (but winemakers’ commercials are uniformly boring aren’t they?).
As a bonus, here’s a current commercial, obviously made for the internet for very little cost, featuring Sam Kekovich doing one of his typically great flogs for the world’s biggest meat tray raffle in support of the RSL.

Thumbs down to Heineken Ad. (Over the top like the Budget Insurance Ads currently showing on our screens). Thumbs up for the Coke Ad. It’s impossible not to laugh.
I agree Liga… and dont we see so many adverts that cost a motza that communicate nothing and simple adverts that say a lot? Problem is that there are too many of the former and not enough of the latter!
