You know how I’ve been whingeing about the waste of full page newspaper advertisements (which have a headline and a picture with ‘no reasons why’) to promote travel within Australia, well, something positive has happened.
The advertiser has only used the half the page for a pretty picture and the other half has some suggestions on where you could visit and what you could see… a step in the right direction.
Personally I don’t like the layout. I reckon the picture with its headline should be at the top of the page to get attention and suck the reader into the copy below. But that’s only my opinion.
And I really don’t think that the copy is all that exciting and compelling but I guess the copywriter had to write it to the client’s brief.
Still, as I said it’s a step in the right direction.

Loved your first article I used that approach when I had my own pest control business many years ago I heard the approach on one of your tapes. I also used the example would you go for medical or dentist who advertised cheap consultation and service. You just have to hold your nerve and it works gang busters.
Thanks Victor, its a beauty!
