If you’re like me you sometimes sit screaming at television because something annoys you. And whilst I don’t get annoyed often with programs, because someone will have worked their creative guts out to make something they think will be appreciated, I do get annoyed at some commercials because they seem to have no point.

There are two that are really annoying me lately!

The first is one from the Colgate toothpaste crowd which features a rock climber who occasionally pauses at dizzying heights to illustrate how great the toothpaste is. Or, at least, that’s what I think he’s supposed to be doing but, for heaven’s sake, tell me the relevance. How the heck does it sell toothpaste?

The other is that cloyingly, sugar sweet Cadbury advert where a little girl goes into a shop to buy a chocolate bar for her mother (who is lurking outside) with some pretty objects. Why, what is this all about? Does it make people stampede into buying more chocolate? (Cadbury also has another equally annoying one where an angelic kid gives up his chocolate to a sad woman on a train. Why? Who knows?

Obviously cost a lot of money to make and made creative tears flow but, as for building or retaining business, what do they have to do with it? Just time wasters that annoy me!
