Sometimes you just happen on a great idea, want to applaud it and tell your friends.
That’s how I felt when I saw that the people at Talking Stones (James & Samantha Rae, Founders of Talking Stones) were following me on Twitter and I investigated to see what they do. And, guess what? That’s what they do… make stones say something by engraving whatever you want onto stones, pavers or whatever. Originally started because they wanted a headstone for their pet dog who had gone to the great kennel in the sky, they saw an opportunity and gave up their day jobs to pursue the business.
Now, apart from being a pet lover and always wanting to remember any of my pets when they depart this life, I just love the idea of using talking stones in business. Can you imagine the reaction you would get when, after you’ve done a deal, you send the other party a river rock with the words “Set in stone” and your name engraved on it. They’d love it and it would take pride of place on their desk. The mind boggles with what you can do… how about a small rock with “Our guarantee is rock solid” and your logo?
