So what’s next after you’ve dropped those 3,000 letters we mentioned in our last article?
Well, you do it all over again because life is a passing parade… times and circumstance change… the lives of people who weren’t interested in what you had to offer or weren’t ready for it last time have moved on and could now be actively seeking what you’ve got to offer.
So, about 6 weeks after you dropped the first letter, you drop that same letter again. People who didn’t respond last time respond… and of course people who were hot to trot last time but didn’t may respond or may have gone off the boil. The bottom line is you’ll get the same number of responses from a whole new group of people.
And 6 weeks later, you do it again… and 6 weeks later, again and so on.
And maybe every so often you change the letter, write it on similar lines but with a new slant. Remind them of the previous letter and tell them you’re heartbroken you haven’t heard from them.
By hanging in there and staying in touch you’re building the relationship with them and as you stay in touch the number of responses will increase because they “get to know you”. You’ll be amazed at the results!
