I was driving somewhere the other day and I noticed that a podiatrist had a beautiful looking sign on the front fence.

Well, when I say a “beautiful looking sign”, I mean it was once beautiful because I can remember how it caught my eye when it went up four or five years ago.

Unfortunately, the sign catches the full force of the sun for much of the day and has really worn badly, losing much of its bright colours and thus the information. The only reason I knew it was such a great sign was that I remembered it from years ago.

Perhaps the podiatrist had got so busy that he didn’t need the sign any more or he had just plain forgotten about it, and that’s a shame. He should’ve been ensuring it was kept in tip top condition because great signs work well.

Work less, charge more and have your customers loving it!

In fact, if he had got so busy he thought he didn’t need it, that’s exactly why he should have kept it in mint condition… if it helped generate more prospects than he could handle he could have put his prices up!
