I’m catching up on some Australian history which I should’ve done years ago.

And what is that?

Well it is the story of John Monash, the great Australian general.

So I’m reading an excellent book “Monash & Chauvel” by Roland Perry and it’s giving me great insights into the thinking and actions of both those great generals.

When Monash assumed control of all the Australian troops in Europe and planned what led to the final battles in France, his plans were like no others.

In fact, one of the high command said admiringly, “I don’t believe any other general in history has planned or prepared so meticulously“.

If you've been told you're a great speaker and you want to pursue your passion, then this is the step-by-step guide to getting started. Turn your talents into reward. Get it now!

Needless to say Monash won the battle and went on to really end the war in Europe.

It’s a reminder of something we don’t do often enough or well enough. That’s to plan carefully what we are setting out to do.

In fact it’s a great idea to remember the five P’s – proper planning prevents poor performance!

Worthwhile taking on board don’t you think?
