And the word I refer to is “fried”.

It only seems like a couple of years ago when Kentucky Fried Chicken changed its name to a mere KFC. As I remember, it was because the health gurus were saying that fried food was terribly bad for us and we should cut our consumption of them. Thus poor old Colonel Sanders and all his fried food went out the window.

Well, imagine my surprise when I discovered a couple of adverts like this one leering out at me from the newspaper with “Fried” both underlined and in a trendy highlighting font.

Apparently, everything old is new again and what goes around comes around (I think that’s the phrase!).

Isn’t it great to tuck into good old fried chicken again… and not feel guilty!
